Celebrity chef speaker Stephan Pyles was the host of the Emmy Award winning series New Tastes From Texas with Chef Stephan Pyles, which aired on PBS. The show featured reputable celebrity chefs like Rick Bayless, Zarela Martinez, David Garrido, Diana Kennedy, Patricia Quintana, and Americo Circuit. Celebrity Chef Stephan Pyles has authored four cookbooks during his culinary career, bestsellers The New Texas Cuisine, New Tastes from Texas, Tamales, and Southwestern Vegetarian. In each of his cookbooks, Chef Stephan delivers hundreds of mouthwatering southwestern recipes and has received rave reviews for each publication by celebrity chefs like Paul Prudhomme.
Stephan Pyles has worked in many different areas of the culinary industry, such as a cuisine consultant for American Airlines as well as a number of hotel and resort companies. One such hotel is the world-class Gaylord Opryland Texas Resort & Convention Center for which Chef Pyles designed the concept and menu for one of the resort’s signature restaurants. Pyles still serves as a consultant to the Gaylord Hotels Resort.
Celebrity Chef Stephan Pyles has also received many awards over the course of his career as a chef, such awards include AAA Five Diamond Award, Restaurant and Institutions’ Ivy Award, Nation’s Restaurant News’ Fine Dining Hall of Fame Award, the American Academy of Achievement Award, the James Beard Award for Best Chef, and Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year award by the Texas Restaurant Association and Minnesota Restaurant Association.
