Celebrity chef speaker Robert Irvine has been in the cooking profession for twenty-five years and has cooked all over the world. Robert hosts three shows on The Food Network, Dinner: Impossible, Worst Cooks in America, and Restaurant: Impossible.
Beginning in March of 2022, Irvine’s show “Restaurant Rivals: Irvine vs. Taffer,” alongside Jon Taffer of “Bar Rescue” will be available for streaming on Discovery+. The three-part series is a race against the clock, as each of them is challenged with turning around a failing restaurant in just 24 hours, improving the operations, atmosphere, and of course, the food.
Celebrity Chef Speaker Robert Irvine, originally from England, joined the British Royal Navy at fifteen years old and his superiors soon caught a glimpse of his skills in the kitchen. During his time in the Royal Navy, he was chosen to cook for the Royal Family and their guests. Part of a guest chef program, Robert also spent time training U.S. Navy chef’s techniques in the kitchen and during this time, he worked in the White House Kitchens, and his food was served to high-ranking officials. As his career progressed, he had the honor to serve 6,000 servicemen and servicewomen aboard a U.S. aircraft carrier and plan the menu for an after-party at the Academy Awards.
Dinner Impossible centers on Robert cooking creative dishes for both small gatherings and massive crowds and showing off his amazing cooking skills. On the show, he cooks on a desert island, an 18th-century kitchen, an ice hotel, for cowboys on a cattle drive, master instructors at the Culinary Institute of America, and at the governor of Pennsylvania’s inauguration.
Robert has also had the honor to be the executive chef at Donald Trump’s Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort and Caesars Atlantic City and was head chef at the 2006 Academy Awards. Robert has two cookbooks: Mission: Cook! and Impossible to Easy.
He hosts Worst Cooks in America which attempts to help hopeless cooks become a cooking pros while going through a culinary boot camp. The other prime-time show is Restaurant: Impossible, where Robert aims to help restaurant owners turn their restaurants around in only two days and a budget of $10,000. He hosted the Annual IFMA-Sponsored Gold & Silver Plate Awards at Chicago’s Navy Pier. Robert honored and recognized the most innovative and outstanding foodservice operators in the nine segments.
