Elton John

Celebrity Speaker and rock singer Elton John has sold more than 250 million records, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. He has more than 50 Top 40 hits, has six Grammy Awards, four Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Tony Award. Elton accolades don’t stop there: the artist has released 37 gold and 27 multi-platinum records, and also holds the record for biggest selling single of all time.

In 1994 Elton John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received his knighthood from HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1998. He and his partner David Furnish are both actively involved in the fight against AIDS and Elton has established the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In 2005, Elton John and David Furnish entered into a civil partnership and the pair continues to be champions for LGBT social movements. When same-sex marriage became legal in England, Elton and David Furnish married in 2014. He has been ranked third overall behind The Beatles and Madonna on The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists. Elton partnered with Apple in 2015 along with other artists such as Drake and Pharrell Williams to help launch the brands new streaming service, Apple Music.
