Dale is the driver of the #88 AMP Energy/United States National Guard Chevrolet SS, Dale Earnhardt Jr. drives for the Hendrick Motorsports, and his own team, JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series. He is son to late NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and grandson of late NASCAR driver Ralph Earnhardt. Sports Speaker Dale Earnhardt Jr. began racing cars at 17 in the Street Stock division at Concord, NC’s Motorsport Park. His first race car was a 1979 Monte Carlo that he and his half-brother owned together. He is partners with investors who are building Alabama Motorsports Park, A Dale Earnhardt Jr Speedway and opened a bar named Whisky River in downtown Charlotte, NC and later opened a second Whisky River in Jacksonville, FL. In 2013, Dale started his own signature line of eyeglass frame’s with NY Eye Inc. Dale recently announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann in June 2015.
