Christiane Amanpour

Celebrity speaker and journalist, Chief International Correspondent for CNN and Speaker Christiane Amanpour was first hired in 1983 by CNN on the foreign desk in Atlanta, GA as an entry level desk assistant. Her first major assignment was covering the Iran-Iraq War which transferred her to Eastern Europe to report on the fall of European communism. In 1989 Celebrity Journalist Amanpour was assigned to work in Frankfurt, Germany to report on the democratic revolutions through Eastern Europe.

After much success at CNN, Christiane Amanpour announced that she would leave CNN for ABC News to anchor This Week and hosted her first broadcast on August 1, 2010. But on December 13, 2011, Christiane announced that she would be leaving This Week to host a program on CNN International in 2012 while continuing to work at ABC News. She has been named to, “Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in World” list. Christiane Amanpour is available for speaking engagements, personal appearances and corporate events.
