Ashton Eaton

Olympic Speaker for hire Ashton Eaton is the reigning Olympic decathlon champion having won the Gold Medal at the London Olympics in 2012 and the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ashton is a current world record holder in both the decathlon and the indoor heptathlon. He is an incredible example of hard work, determination and true grit in American sports. Ashton was a 5-time NCAA champion in track and field during his college career at the University of Oregon. He won the decathlon event 3 straight years from 2008-2010 at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in addition to winning the NCAA heptathlon title in 2009 and 2010. He was the first male athlete ever to win the decathlon title 3 years in a row. During the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships, Ashton broke the heptathlon world record that had stood for 17 years with 6,499 points.

After graduating from Oregon, Olympic Speaker Ashton Eaton kicked it up a notch and began topping the podium at international track and field events around the world. He set a new heptathlon world record at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships before qualifying for his first trip to the Olympics later that year. Ashton blew away the competition for the Gold Medal having already earned enough points to guarantee the win before competing in the last event, the 1500M run.

His domination continued over the next few years, winning the decathlon world title in 2013 before taking some time off in 2014 to rest. He again won the world decathlon title in 2015 before bringing home another Gold Medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. Ashton will surely go down as one of the greatest track and field athletes in history in both indoor and outdoor events. He is married to Canadian track and field star Brianne Theisen.
