Olympic Motivational Speaker for hire Aly Raisman is the second-most medaled American female gymnast in Olympic history and the captain of the U.S. Women’s Olympic Gymnastics Team in 2012 and 2016. Aly and Gabby Douglas are the only American gymnasts ever to win back-to-back Gold Medals in the team competition. She is a leader on and off the mats, empowering others to chase their dreams and put in the work to make them a reality.
A Massachusetts native, Olympic Speaker Aly Raisman was inspired by the likes of Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller and the rest of the Magnificent Seven who put American gymnastics on the map at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. She began competing internationally for the U.S. in 2009. In November of 2011, she went pro and decided to forgo her college eligibility to focus on her Olympic training. She immediately earned attention from top sponsors and signed a sponsorship deal with Ralph Lauren.
Aly won the Gold Medal in the team competition and the floor exercise at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. She also brought home a Bronze Medal in the balance beam event that year. 4 years later in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Aly once again led the U.S. to Gold in the team competition and won 2 Silver Medals in the all-around and floor exercise competitions behind teammate Simone Biles.
Aly has been praised for her ability to inspire her teammates and her unshakable focus and determination under pressure, which is why she’s become such an influential and inspiring speaker. Gymnastics great and women’s head coach Marta Karolyi has said that nothing can bother her while she is competing and that confidence rubs off on her teammates to encourage them to perform at the highest level.
More recently, Aly has became an icon and inspiration for the feminist movement after bravely discussing her sexual abuse experience due to Larry Nassar. For being so courageous in coming out to the public about such a difficult time, she was met with full support from the public and gained both a loyal and caring fanbase. In having such a following, Aly began to promote body positivity for women through not only participating in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, but putting a twist on it as well.
In early January of 2021, the photos of Aly Raisman were released to the public and presented an inspiring message for all women. In the nude picture, Aly had words and phrases written across her body such as “Women do not need to be modest to be respected,” “survivor,” “trust yourself,” and also “every voice matters,”. She posted some of these pictures on various social media sites to help spread her message, in addition to writing heartfelt captions aimed at promoting women’s mental health.
Through displaying messages across her body, Aly effectively was able to send a message to all women on the importance of being comfortable as yourself but accepting yourself as well. Being a victim herself, not only did Aly express support for body positivity, but in support for all other victims of sexual abuse as well.
From being one of the most decorated American Olympic gymnasts of all time, to promoting the mental health of women across the world, it’s no wonder why so many people are inspired by Aly Raisman. She has continued to make a lasting impact on those she encounters, and it is for that reason an incredibly powerful as well as motivational speaker.
With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to be present, Aly is open for speaking at virtual events for businesses interested in having a beloved motivational speaker.
