Hollywood’s elite were out in full force on Sunday strutting the red carpets and commanding the ballroom at The Beverly Hilton for the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards Show. What…a…night! Meryl Streep was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement and delivered a poignant acceptance speech on leadership while many other celebrity speakers took home awards and shared their messages of gratitude and encouragement with the audience and those watching at home. This week’s list of top trending celebrity speakers features 10 inspirational celebrity speakers who were nominated and/or won awards at this year’s Golden Globes:

Viola Davis: New Year, same Viola Davis! Emma Stone: Emma sang her way to a Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award for her lead role in the musical La La Land also starring Ryan Gosling. The romance musical also earned Gosling the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy as well as winning the overall category for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Mahershala Ali: Mahershala won over the hearts of critics and movie buffs alike with his role in the film Moonlight which won the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama at the Golden Globes on Sunday. Many woke up the next morning feeling like he was snubbed for not winning the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture. Humble in victory and defeat, Mahershala has since made personal appearances on several news programs and talk shows and discussed his gratitude for the role and the way it has been received. Octavia Spencer: It’s official, Octavia Spencer has arrived! She was nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture Golden Globe award for her role in Hidden Figures that premiered in December of 2016.
