Sports Speaker, ESPN NBA Analyst and former NBA Champion Chauncey Billups, better known as “Mr. Big Shot”, was known for his ability to come through for his team in clutch situations. He was named MVP of the 2004 NBA Finals, when he led the Detroit Pistons to their first NBA championship since 1990 with a convincing 4-1 series win versus the Los Angeles Lakers. In 2004, he was honored as the fifth player in University of Colorado program history to have his jersey retired where he was a consensus All-American in 1997. In 2008, received the NBA’s J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship which is rewarded to the member of an NBA organization that completes outstanding service and is dedicated to the community. Chauncey has also received awards for being an outstanding teammate and sportsmanship. He entered the NBA in 1997, when he was the third overall pick of the Boston Celtics in the NBA Draft. He also has played for the Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and LA Clippers. Chauncey retired after 17 seasons in the NBA following the 2013-2014 season.
