Celebrity Speaker Blake Shelton has enjoyed a wildly successful music career in addition to being a popular judge on NBC’s hit singing competition series, The Voice.

After signing with Giant Records in 2001, Celebrity Speaker Blake Shelton made his entrance to the country music scene in 2001 with his single “Austin.” The single experienced great success with 5 weeks at the Number One spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. After his first album was released in 2001, Shelton was transferred to Warner Bros. Recording where he capitalized on his early success with 8 more albums.

His second album dropped in 2003, entitled “The Dreamer,” and was followed by “Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill,” “Pure BS,” “Startin’ Fires,” “Red River Blue,” and “Based on a True Story” in 2013. His 6^th album “Red River Blue” featured the hit single “Honey Bee” which reached no. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart. “Based on a True Story” also boasted a hit single with “Sure Be Cool if You Did,” which reached no. 1 on the charts. Shelton decided to delve into the holiday scene with his 2012 Christmas album, “Cheers, It’s Christmas.” The album reached no. 1 on Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums and no. 2 on Top Country Albums.

Celebrity Speaker Blake Shelton has fourteen number one singles and three top tens. A decorated country music star, his accolades go further than album sales and charting singles. In 2010 Shelton won Vocal Event of the Year for “Hillbilly Bone” at the ACM awards, a CMT award: Collaborative Video of the Year for “Hillbilly Bone” with Trace Adkins, and 2 CMA awards: Male Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for “Hillbilly Bone.” The next year his success continued with his being honored by 2 CMT awards, 5 CMA nominations, the CMA award for Male Vocalist of the Year, and Favorite Country Male Artist from the American Music Awards. In 2013 Shelton was nominated for 5 CMA awards and walked away with both Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. He has also been nominated for 4 People’s Choice Awards and 4 times for a Grammy. Shelton has charted 24 country singles, including 11 number ones and the 11th number one (Doin’ What She Likes) broke the record for the most consecutive number one singles in the Country Airplay chart’s 24-year history.

Shelton’s talents expand beyond music, having multiple TV roles and appearances. He has served as a judge on the hit reality singing competition Nashville Star and Clash of the Choirs as well as a coach on NBC’s hit singing competition show “The Voice.” As a judge on The Voice, Shelton’s team has won four out of the eight seasons.
